My boyfriend and I would like to take a small vacation during the christmas holidays, but we don’t have a big budget, so we need to find a good vacation deal. Does anyone have some good destinations in mind that you can generally get a good deal on? We’d prefer travel outside the U.S., but realize this will up our costs tremendously. I’m wondering if there are certain travel destinations that aren’t bombarded by tourists during the holidays that may offer good deals?

Last year i was looking at some christmas break options (anytime during december) for my friends and I, we are college students and were looking incredible deals on various trips. Last year I came across 2 deals that were hard to choose from, disney world, had 5days/4 nights (through their own site) for like 259$ /per person including base park tickets and a value level hotel; we ended up choosing a cruise the week before christmas, that was about the same price. I have since started dating someone who would love to go to disney, and i would love to be able to find this deal again for her, because it’s the only way i could make that trip happen. Does anyone have ANY clue as to how i could find this deal again, i’ve tried basic searches and came up with nothing, any ideas, help, or if you know they do it annually i would apprieciate it soo much if you would share this with me.

That price seems way low if it includes tickets.
Anyway, Disney will offer discounts when it needs to fill its rooms and the discounts don’t usually appear until just a few months before the dates of travel. Right now is way too early to find discounted packages for December. September/October is when they’ll be released for early December. Don’t bother with late December; it’s peak season and they’ll never discount then.

Hong Kong……A recent CNN poll confirmed that HK is a must-visit in Asia, full of excitement and happenings 24/7, it’s the only tax FREE city in Asia too. I’m trying to book a cheap Caribbean vacation for two (Bahamas, Virgin Islands, St. Martin, DR, or Cancun, or similar) for the week before Christmas. When I get on the websites, they advertise a price, but as soon as I enter my details (travel dates, etc.) the price quadruples. What am I doing wrong? I am willing to fly back on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day — I thought this would make it cheaper but perhaps I am wrong? What dates would make it come up as the advertised price? I can be flexible (leaving anywhere between December 16th and 20th, coming back anywhere between 20th and 25th). Which dates/destinations would give me the best deals? Also, any recommendations as to specific destinations? Or places to book other than the websites that I have had the above mentioned problems with? I just want it to be simple! Thanks 🙂
Well, when do you have to return by for it to be considered ‘before Christmas.’ ? I have tried the 23rd, 24th, and 25th, but prices are equally high on all 3 days

The prices always go up a lot during Christmas. Try getting airfare using American Air using flexible date search, then book your hotel separately. I got really cheap airfare through them to Jamaica for this New Years holiday. LAX to MoBay for $ 409, but I got the tickets about a month ago.
High season starts in December and continues for a few months. The most economical time to travel to the Carribean is during the months of June through August.
