I’m interested in traveling to Preth Australia this Christmas to visit a friend and I’ve never traveled further than Disney World. I’d like to know if anyone found any good deals on flights and hotels around the Perth area. I’m hoping to go for 2 weeks.
Any good restaurants and attractions that you’d think I’d like. I’m 20 and this will be my first vacation by myself.

@ Least $ 1000 just for Travel then $ 100-$ 150 a night Hotel cost. $ 50 Per Day Per Person Food Ect.

My 1 year anniversary to the man I absolutely LoVE is coming up on December 15th. We are both participating in the planning of something to do. We do not want to spend a lot because that is also around Christmas time.We were thinking of something along the lines of a night at a nice hotel and dinner/ or breakfast. But I don’t know, I am open to hear of any special deals you may know of or any other ideas. Thank you.

Your idea of a night/weekend at a nice hotel is a good one. Look for a local “resort” in your area – they might have romantic/honeymoon type weekend package deals you could take advantage of.
Some helpful advice: Remember you and your husband are newly married – you’re just starting out. As for anniversary celebrations and gifts, “start small and work your way up” as time goes by. If you blow your bankroll on your first anniversary, what are you going to have left over for your 2nd? Kind of makes you stop, think, and go “Hmmmmm?”

I hate my job. I am a custodian at a middle school. I work 10am to 630 pm monday through friday. I get paid decent money ($ 11.17 an hour) and i like having off on the weekends its just that it pretty much takes up my whole day. I really want to go to college to be a kindergarten teacher but i dont have time. Plus my boss wont allow me to change my hours around to help me go to school. She says i have to switch to a 3rd shift position but that could take awhile waiting for a position to open up. My boss takes off weeks at a time and i am left by myself to run the entire school. I dont like being looked down upon just because of my job. thats how i am treated by teachers and staff because i am a janitor. I think i am doing pretty well for myself though. I am 21 and I have my own house and am about to get married. Which is another problem. I asked my boss to have off december 16 through the 26 because my fiance and i wanted to go on a disney cruise and get married in the bahamas. he said he will have to think about it because we have programs we have to set up that week and he cant do it himself. which i understand. what i dont get is how he can leave me for 2 weeks to run the school all by myself and that is fair but i cant go away to get married and him be alone. Its like i have to get an okay from him to be able to get married. I would say okay im going to just go and deal with the consequences later, but my boss can be a real jerk and i will pay for it later. He always gives me the shitty end of the deal. I really dont know what to do. I want to better myself and i dont know how to do it. I feel like this job is holding me back in life. what should i do?
oh and i have enough vacation time to go away. which i dont get if i have the time why cant i use it. Plus i am giving him a 4 month notice.

I’m on winter break from college and I have about $ 500 savings for travel. I know hotwire and other sites have package deals for much less than that (i got a hotel and flight deal to montreal for 4 days in a 4 star hotel for about $ 450 this summer) but the question now is where would be an INTERESTING and WARM location to go for the end of january for about 3 girls? I was thinking San Fransisco but i can’t drive, or else maybe Greece, but that would be way more expensive and pretty intense to plan in just a week or so. Any ideas?

Fiji, its a little island and is so warm and nice there. Its kinda of where you would go on a honeymoon but its also good to be alone and just relax. Im not sure of the cost but I would definitely consider it.

The prices are pretty high right now- 2000 is the absolute lowest I’ve seen. My question is- is this the ideal time to buy these tickets, or will the prices possibly go down ? Or up ? I have no idea who else is going to be on there. Im pretty much going on chance. The type of person I am is I love everybody! so I will get along with anyone. I do want to go. but at the same time IM SCARED!
but at the same time i am dealing with some health issues. anyone who knows someone who has food sensitivity and food allergies. ( you cant eat nothing) u understand……its terrible!

When do airlines give their deals for December travel? Whats a good cheap flight from LAX to Barcelona or Madrid (or even Lisbon) in DECEMBER going to cost me? It costs > $ 1000 in summer, but whats the off-season average price?

There are very few deals in December as it is a peak travel season. The airlines will fill their flights anyway, they don’t need to offer really cheap tickets. My recommendation is to book early. That way you know you have your seat and if the flight starts to fill up and therefore the price increases at least you have already secured your ticket.

It’s been about seven years or so, that I haven’t spent Christmas or New Years with my family (except Mom).
I found this really good deal and I saved up just in case I wanted to go.
Just that I don’t know whether I should go or not.
1. I’m a bit scared to travel alone, even though I have done it before.
2. The whether freaks me out a bit.
3. I don’t know if I should leave my boyfriend and Mom around this time of year.
4. people whom I want to visit may not have that much time left as much as I’d like them to.
If I don’t go, I may regret not going.
If I go, I may get somewhat paranoid.

Can you take your Mom and/or boyfriend? Maybe go a few days before the holidays or a few days after if they have family commitments and can’t leave on Christmas? I think you should go. You’ll be thankful you got the time with your family and all the possible bad things won’t matter once you are there. Take books, magazines, music or whatever you need to make you feel comfortable and not paranoid and be proud that you have the guts to do it.

The bf and I want to take a 3 day cruise to Mexico in December. I found a deal a main upper deck ocean view cabin for $ 590 total including taxes.
Is this a good deal? And if so, should I book it now or will there be better deals very last minute?
I also have a few other questions: Does deck level matter? Does oceanview or inner cabin make a difference since you’re barely in your room? Do I have to pay the total upfront? If so, what’s the refund policy and how much is insurance?
If you know a travel agent that could answer these questions for me and/or give me a better deal and is in the OC area please refer me to them. Or if they could communicate with me via email that would be fine as well. THANKS SO MUCH!

$ 590 isnt a bad price but I have seen lower. In fact, you can get a 4-day cruise for that price, depending where you want to depart from. Check prices on this site..http://vacationstogo.com/ticker.cfm?rm=1&r=0&l=8&m=200912&n=1
You will see better deals especially with Carnival.
Deck level doesnt really matter. Some people like to be near the buffet deck or casino area. Mid ship is usually best for cabin location.
I like balcony cabin if its not to much extra. Nice to walk out there and hang out. Inside cabins are like caves, very dark. You pay deposit first, then you make final payment like 30 days prior to cruise. Refund policeys vary from all cruise lines. I never purchased Insurance, you can but it doesnt cover everything.
I suggest you call 1800 carnival. Ask them all questions. They will be happy to answer them and discuss there specials. There are many good prices in December. Shoot me an email anytime if you like.
