Langkawi Malaysia is among the top tourist attractions in Malaysia. One can visit around this beautiful island through a few ways of transportation. Langkawi Island has got a very good network of roads. Though public transport is pretty good, several people prefer to drive themselves to explore the island.

Cars
Vehicles are easily obtainable in Langkawi Malaysia on rental basis. While you reach the jetty and disembark from the ferry, you would see car rental agents thronging jetty exit. All of them rental their vehicles at numerous prices. You could get a good compact car at RM30 per day at low season, but in peak season, never expect less than RM80. On the other hand, you can also arrange for a car in Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis prior departing for Langkawi Malaysia. You might discover several cars agents hanging around the ferry counters. When you reach the island, you would get your car. And if you reach through air, you can hire vehicles at the booths.

Taxis
If you’re not confident enough for driving the vehicle yourselves, you can travel around by taxis. Langkawi Malaysia is often a major tourist destination and you must expect taxi fares to be costly. You can use taxis outside the jetty and the air port. You can also ask your resort or hotel to arrange a taxi for you. They would happily do it for you. Taxi fares here are priced as per the destination and not by meters. That said, taxis are simplest and most hassle-free way to move around. Anywhere in Pulau Langkawi, you can find a taxi and charter it.

Bikes and Bicycles
You could also hire bikes or bicycles in Langkawi Malaysia. Cycling in the Langkawi Malaysia is a fun-filled task for many travelers. Bikes might be hired for approximately RM 25 each day during peak season. You are recommended to wear helmet while driving a bike. You might also ask a local to drive the bike for you. They would do that for a fee.

Buses
Buses are the most affordable means for getting around Langkawi Malaysia. However, number of buses and their frequency is not great. So if you desire to move fast, you better go for other means. Moreover, buses would not go above predefined paths. Kuah and Pantai Cenang are the two areas where one can get regular buses. Aside from these two spots, there are few bus stations. The bus employee tends to wait for travellers, and move only after their bus are fill completely. So, obviously, moving in buses eats time.
