Fall is almost over and winter is almost on us in full force, if you are planning on traveling anywhere for beach holidays this is a good time to travel down-under to Oz. Now is the time to enjoy the warm sunny weather and the best beaches in the world in Australia.

Australia is one of the biggest islands in the world as well as a continent so there are no shortages of beaches however it is not a time for Travelling Everywhere in Australia. This continent stretches from the tropics in the north down to the Antarctic waters of the Southern Ocean to the south. Summer in Australia (winter in the Northern Hemisphere) is not the time to go to the tropical beaches of the north but it is the best time for holidaying at the beautiful surf beaches surrounding the southern half of the country.

Australia is about 3,000 km from east to west and 2,000 km from north to south so it has literally thousands and thousands of kilometers of pristine white sand beaches which are undoubtedly amongst the best in the world. Their scope and variety ranges from beaches stretching for many kilometers in an isolated untouched area to famous beaches near the cities. Isolated beaches are accessible by a rental car or hire camper vans. These are the ideal places to camp and defrost from the hustle and bustle while winding down in the beauty of nature.

There are famous beaches with luxurious hotels or holiday rental beach houses near all the major capital cities Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. The most famous would be Bondi Beach near down town Sydney and Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast just south of Brisbane. These have some of the best surf beaches in the world supervised by the famous Ozzie surf lifesavers and protected by offshore nets to keep any unwanted visitors away.

The Australian winter (summer in the northern hemisphere) is the best time to visit the tropical north as in winter it is not to hot and never too cold. This northern half of Australia has beautiful tropical beaches and islands where you can go snorkeling and explore untold coral reefs.

Australia is a modern developed country with a world class infrastructure that will give you reliable and safe beach holidays. Everybody speaks English with a bit of an Australian twang which can be funny to listen to and also to learn. The country has become a multicultural society so many other languages are spoken by recent arrivals such as Chinese, Italian and Indonesian. This multiculturalism is reflected in the food and you can get a dish from anywhere in the world Turkish, Thai, fish and chips, hamburgers, pizza, Chinese you name it its there for you to enjoy.

So dont just go Travelling Everywhere, go where the climate is right and the beaches are the best for your beach holidays. Australia will give you a safe reliable holiday where you can be free from the troubles of the world. Australia has something for everyone from the city slicker to the outback adventurer.
