If you are on a short vacation one of the toughest things to try and decide is exactly what you’ll do and see, and this is particularly the case in a lively city such as Los Angeles when there are plenty of options. So if you are heading to Hollywoodland, here are a few fun things to do in Los Angeles which can help you to get some ideas for the getaway.

The first attraction you could go to is Magic Castle. If you’ve got any interest at all in watching the country’s best magicians doing their thing then this is definitely the place to be. Between the 3 theatres as well as 4 bars you are bound to have a good time on your visit. You won’t experience much trouble getting tickets for a day show, but unfortunately nighttime tickets are somewhat tougher to get. You will need to have an acquaintance who’s able to get you invited as it’s a private member’s club. So start speaking with friends (or connections on social media) to learn if they know anyone who is a member.

If checking out music is your thing then you can’t go past an outing to the famous Hollywood Bowl. This open air live concert facility has been putting on live shows for close to a hundred years. And the concerts put on are very diverse so you’re sure to find a musician or band playing that suits your tastes. But when there’s no show on when you are there, simply visiting the venue is worth the trip.

And lastly, you shouldn’t head to Los Angeles without considering watching the filming of a live Television show. No matter whether you prefer sitcom’s or chat shows, there is a show for everyone. But you’ve been warned…watching a television show being recorded can ruin a lot of the magic of television for you particularly when it comes to sitcom’s.

So hopefully those three ideas are sufficient to get you started. It doesn’t really matter what you get up to, a vacation to Los Angeles is bound to be enjoyable, but when you take the time to do a bit of research on what to see and do, then you’ll undoubtedly get far more out of your getaway.
